I came to real estate after twenty years of working in both non-profit and retail businesses. Since 1987, I have worked on and off as a fundraiser for non-profit organizations, focusing on private grants, sponsorships, and individual giving. I have also managed my own business and two stores.

Most of my work has been analytical and goal-oriented, so I have found balance in life by pursuing process-oriented, creative activities. I have a studio in Cambridge where I make my own glass beads and jewelry. I also teach courses on grant writing for visual artists; the business of selling handcrafted artwork; jewelry design; and glass beadmaking. In addition, I have served - and continue to serve - on non- profit boards, primarily in the areas of the arts and the environment.

I am a compulsive networker and have been actively involved in the Cambridge and Somerville communities for the past 17 years. Making a career change to real estate enabled me to apply my networking skills and knowledge of the area to help people buy and sell homes. I also enjoy applying my artistic skills to help my clients envision interior design and decor possibilities.

I am dedicated to my clients and work hard to make the process of buying and selling as pleasant and low-stress as possible. Having been a buyer and seller myself, I know how helpful it is to have a broker who is supportive, detail- oriented, and attentive throughout the process.

In lieu of a formal housewarming gift, I donate $250 from each real estate transaction to a local non-profit in honor of my clients. I try to choose a non-profit in which both the clients and I share an interest. For a more personal touch, I also give my clients a housewarming basket of my handmade soaps, lip balm, cookies, and other treats that help make their new house feel like a home.
